MeatCrafters packages our products in specially formulated packaging designed specifically for frozen foods  to ensure that your order sausage arrives frozen. We use specially designed coolers that provide the necessary insulation, with freezer packs for your products. That cooler is then packed into a box for shipment.

Salamis are also packed in a box and in the summer months will be shipped with small ice packs to ensure that they stay cool.

We ship via FedEx.

In order to ensure that our products arrive fresh, and to avoid shipping times longer than 3 days, we currently do not ship to the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

We continuously look for ways to expand our product delivery area so please check back with us from time to time.

Care and Handling of Sausages

When your order arrives your sausages should still be frozen. Put those that you aren’t going to eat in the freezer. If you plan to use the sausages soon, put them in the refrigerator as our sausages do not contain preservatives (other than salt). Your sausages will last for up to 10 months in a freezer (10 degrees F or below) in the vacuum package. Your sausages will keep unopened in your refrigerator (below 40 degrees F) for up to 7 days. If the sausages have defrosted in transit, they can be refrozen or used within three days.

Your salamis come wrapped in special paper that has a waxy coating on the inside. Please keep your salamis in the refrigerator in the paper they were shipped in to ensure their freshness and reduce the loss of moisture. Our salamis will last for several months in the refrigerator, as they are fully cured.
